Government 101

Every legislative session, bills that drastically affect your family’s energy bills, your kids’ education, and your tax dollars move through Augusta… most of the time without a single constituent weighing in!
We’re seeing the results of a government that lacks accountability to those they are supposed to represent. Lead Maine is hosting a FREE Government 101 training in Waldoboro Tuesday May 19, so we can take charge of state government.
You’ll learn how Maine government is structured, how to track and influence legislation that affect your family, how to contact your lawmakers in a way that actually gets their attention, and what we need to do over the long term to change the future of our state!
The evening includes hands-on activities so you leave ready to ACT, not just informed. You’ll leave with a full resource packet and a clear next step.
Event begins at 6:00pm, doors open for social time at 5:30pm.
Families welcome (please RSVP each individual). Refreshments will be available for attendees. RSVP today because space is limited!
Registration is required for attendance. Registrants will receive the event address via email.
